Eric Bélanger

It is with immense sadness that we, the family, wish to announce the passing of Eric Bélanger, beloved husband of Delphina (Bertin) Bélanger of Robertville, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Charles Bélanger and the late Marie (Doiron) Bélanger.

Besides his beloved wife, he leaves to mourn his two children, Erika Bélanger and Rémi Bélanger (Carole); his adored grandson, Jack. He also leaves his brother Martin Bélanger (Mona) and his sister Charline Lavigne (Charles); his brother-in-law Rodrigue Bertin (Gisèle) and sister-in-law Lucille Ouellette (Bernard), as well as several nieces, nephews, friends and clients.

He is now reunited with his parents, his sister Yvonne, and his brothers Raymond and Robert.

Having worked almost until the end, Eric had difficulty accepting such a sudden end to a career that meant so much to him. During his free time, he enjoyed pursuing his hobbies, particularly reading and watching television.

We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the healthcare staff for the quality and humanity of the care provided throughout his illnesses.

The family will receive relatives and friends at The Bay Funeral Home in Beresford on Monday, September 21, beginning at 2:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 4:00 p.m.

In memory of Eric, donations to the Diabetes Canada Foundation, the Canadian Red Cross, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
